The Solution: Cloud-Based Access Control for Vehicles
The solution deployed at 342 Johnston Ave is a cloud-based vehicle access control architecture, consisting of the Akuvox ACR-CRP12 UHF reader, A01 access control terminal, and ACR-CID12 card issuing device. The entire system of high-performance hardware is deployed via the Akuvox Smart Access cloud-based access control service, eliminating the need for complex on-site servers.
Hassle-Free Deployment & Reliable Performance
This cloud-based access control design enables the property management team to handle 70+ users from anywhere via a web-based access control management portal, significantly reducing IT overhead and on-site maintenance.
### Seamless Onboarding of Vehicles and Residents
Property managers use the ACR-CID12 to read UHF card IDs directly into the Akuvox Smart Access cloud portal. The captured vehicle information is seamlessly matched with resident profiles within the portal. This user–vehicle data is synchronized from the cloud to the A01 access control terminal, ensuring consistent smart access control at the barrier gate.
Automatic, Hands-Free Vehicle Authentication
When a vehicle approaches, the ACR-CRP12 reads the UHF card on the windshield from long range and transmits the data to the A01 via Wiegand. Upon successful authentication, the A01 instantly triggers the barrier gate, allowing vehicles to pass automatically without manual intervention. This delivers a smooth, hands-free cloud-based vehicle access control experience for residents.
Adaptable to Diverse On-Site Conditions
The ACR-CRP12 provides rapid response times and reliable operation in diverse weather and functions even when license plates are obscured, while the A01 offers flexible PoE power options for minimal wiring and effortless installation. Together they help integrators deploy smart access control projects faster, with fewer site visits and less troubleshooting.
