Smart locks make door entry easy. However, people are asking for greater home security and more convenient door entry experiences with a reliable access control system. Through Akuvox SmartPlus, the cloud-based intercom solution, Akuvox and Yale jointly fulfill people’s requirements by bringing lock, intercom, access control, and monitor features together. Now Yale Linus® Smart Lock can be immediately triggered to release the door after an access credential is authenticated by Akuvox’s door phones or residents grant access to visitors on Akuvox’s SmartPlus app. 

 

With the integration, installers are able to provide a door entry experience with higher security and convenience. And they can use Akuvox’s cloud platform to deploy and maintain both Akuvox’s intercom devices and Yale Linus® Smart Lock wherever they are, which saves much time and effort.

 

Thanks to the compatibility, through the SmartPlus app, residents can control not only the Akuvox smart intercom at the door of their houses or apartments, but also the Yale Linus® Smart Lock as well as check door release logs. If there is a door sensor equipped at the door, they can even monitor the door status (open or closed) from the app.

 

The integration also adds an additional layer of security to users, enabling them to confirm visitors’ identities on the SmartPlus app through the crystal clear video communication provided by Akuvox’s door phones before unlocking a Yale Linus® Smart Lock. As for daily door entry scenarios, residents can release Yale Linus® Smart Locks through various access methods supported by Akuvox’s door phones, such as face recognition, NFC card, BLE, and QR code.

 

Yale and Akuvox joined forces to deliver peace of mind and a smart living experience to  end users. The combined smart lock and smart intercom features also help to increase the competitiveness of the solution offering of both companies.
